What documents are required?

How long does it take to obtain it?

You only need to come to the office for 1 day, that day you present the documents and then we send you the NIE by email.
Can I work without a NIE?
Yes, it is possible. You can apply for a Social Security Number (NASS) so that you can work before receiving the NIE number.
The NASS application must be accompanied by the current NIE application.
